Fourteen years ago, the first Sarah Ramsey Strong 5K was held in memory of Sarah Ramsey, a 2012 graduate of Champlain College whose life was tragically cut short just one year after graduation. Since then, thanks to the generosity and dedication of countless supporters, a lasting legacy has been built in her honor.
Contributions to the Sarah Ramsey Strong Fund help sustain and expand this legacy. The Fund deepens our commitment to innovation and entrepreneurship in ways that reflect Sarah’s boundless passion for bold ideas and meaningful impact. Now in its eleventh year, the Sarah Ramsey ’12 Endowed Scholarship continues to support Champlain students as they pursue transformative internship and study abroad opportunities—experiences that foster growth, broaden perspectives, and prepare them to make a difference in the world.

The Sarah Ramsey Strong Fund was created to honor the life and legacy of Sarah Elizabeth Ramsey, a proud member of Champlain College’s Class of 2012. Sarah was a dynamic force, passionate, creative, and endlessly curious. Her life, though tragically cut short just one year after graduation, was marked by bold ambition, global exploration, and a profound desire to make a lasting impact.
This fund exists to carry that spirit forward.
